Last week, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Lewis was honored to receive the Peter M. Cicchino Public Service Award. Supported by the Peter M. Cicchino Fund at American University Washington College of Law (WCL), this prestigious award is given each year to honor exceptional students and alumni whose dedication to public interest reflects the legacy of Professor Peter M. Cicchino (1960–2000), and recognizes those who exhibit outstanding advocacy, compassion, and commitment to social justice that exemplify the highest ideals of American University Washington College of Law. Lizzie, who completed a one-year Knauss Fellowship at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration before joining our firm and honing her skills as a tenacious litigator on behalf of the public interest, is a Senior Associate at Eubanks & Associates with a successful track record in high-stakes litigation in federal courts throughout the country. Although she specializes in ocean, coastal, and marine law, Lizzie also has significant expertise in wildlife, public lands, natural resource, energy, and open government litigation. In addition, she has long served as a WCL alumni leader and an adjunct faculty member at the law school. Congratulations (for the second time this month), Lizzie!!
